Help find ghost nets
Ghost nets are lost or abandoned fishing nets. They go on trapping sea life and can entangle divers too. The first step in removing them is knowing where they are.

How to report
Save the location
Tap the button once you are back on shore or on the boat, or describe the place in words. We read your location only when you tap.
Describe what you saw
Type of object, rough depth, visibility and a short note.
Add a photo or video
Attach a file, or a link if it is larger.
Send it
With no signal, the report stays on your phone and can be sent once you are back online.
Never try to remove a net yourself
A diver can get tangled too. Keep your distance, report only what you saw and tell a local dive centre.
What happens to your report
Your report reaches our mailbox. The association Vesala jūra (reg. no. 40008312570) receives only the details of the net: location, depth, type, visibility, your note and the media.
If you add your email, we keep it apart and use it only if we need to ask you a question. Reports are for information, so we cannot promise that every net will be recovered. Reporting is always free.
